Be of Good Cheer

You are beaten to earth? Well, Well, What’s that? Come up with a smiling face, it’s nothing against you to fall down flat. But to lie there—that’s a disgrace.” Edmund Vance Cooke

Oh, if only we would fully grasp this. To smile when we fall instead of just lying there, beating ourselves up in total defeat. Did Jesus not say, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John 16:33 AMP).

Jesus overcame the world! So be of good cheer even when the world gets you down or you fall flat on your face. It’s nothing against you to fall, in fact, it could eventually become your strength!
